Mission Statement Henry's Bookshelf is a non-profit foundation that seeks to help children at various establishments in Ecuador. The purpose of this organization is to encourage the crucial developmental processes of learning, sharing, and reading in the youth at childcare centers by providing book donations. This establishment intends to fund the book donations through contributions from generous and caring persons in the United States.
Policies There are four basic policies at Henry's Bookshelf:
Every donation is to be recorded and the donor is to be notified through e-mail when his donation is received
Every book purchased it to be dedicated with the date of purchase and "Dado con el amor de (donor's name)"-(given with love from donor's name)-unless the donor chooses to remain anonymous in which case the book shall be donated "Dado con el amor de Henry's Bookshelf "
Donors will receive a photo, sent through e-mail, of children at the Childcare center with the book donations
All contributions are to be used in full solely for the purpose of purchasing books and minimal office supplies, postage, banking fees, and internet hosting.
Goals The goals of this foundation are as follows:
To reach a book donation totaling 100 books at each designated childcare center
To encourage learning, sharing, and reading in the children in the childcare centers
To provide the donors with a connection to the children they are helping
